I enjoy writing Joy a lot :). This page is my treatise on "you can date in whatever matter you're comfortable with and move at whatever speed you feel like, because having boundaries and being comfortable is your right as a person, and that's totally normal." I say that as someone in my 30s who has boundaries of steel at this point, though. Vincent's only like, 20 or something. He's never really bothered to think about relationships much, and the idea that he could take this at his own pace and feel things out hasn't occurred to him. I'm not writing Vincent as asexual, just on that spectrum somewhere, but overall he's just a person who's not looking to hit the sheets by the third date. As the late, great Jermaine Stewart said, "We don't have to take our clothes off, to have a good time, oh no." Growing up in the 80s AIDS crisis might have skewed my perception of relationships a bit. Or a lot. Take things at your pace and don't let anyone push you around, friends. Your body, your rules, etc.
Anyway, I'm off to drive my butt 23 hours to New Mexico to visit my gramma next week, so there will only be one page posted next week and the week after to give me some time to relax and refresh with my family for Thanksgiving. Both should be up on Patreon by next Monday, though, if you want to read ahead lol.
