Vote over at TWC to see a very cool new werewolf introduced in tomorrow's comic. (Well, I think he's cool.)
I like drawing Elias when he's kind of off his game, because his body language shifts in really subtle ways. I channeled my social anxiety for these pages lol. I like to think Charlene knows she's kind of intimidating and takes advantage appropriately. I've based her and Vincent very much on the same personality type, but Charlene is much more laid back in reality. She has an easier time loosening up around people she likes, whereas Vincent is the awkward silent type 100%. (And has no idea what's coming for him yessss.) I've also been drawing Malaya straight up bubbly in these last few pages, which is super fun. I think her natural personality is a little more peppy than she's had a chance to express up til now.
I've been drawing this coffee shop for over two years, and I think I'm finally happy with how I've been able to render it. Like, I'd work there. They've got cups and shit. Seems pretty legit.
I saved up a backlog of comments I gotta get to, so I'll keep this short! I've mostly been watching The West Wing lately, so I don't have much to report on my actual life. Spring is apparently here already? In February? I'm extremely worried about what my gardening season is going to look like. Tulips come up in May, not February! At this rate, my whole yard will be on fire by July ;_;.
