I keep forgetting to get the link changed, mostly because I'm very tired and need a vacation, but please visit the Hivemill store if you'd like some merchandise! Which I will add to later this summer.

Speaking of vacations, I'm going on one next month! THANK GOD. I need a break pretty desperately just from life, I think. I'll be heading to Los Angeles to see friends for a few days, then to Japan, then back to LA, then back to Chicago. Quite a trip. It was just a lot cheaper to fly from LAX to Narita airport, plus that gives me an extra day to recover before getting home and resuming my life. Because of that trip, there will be a part of July where I'll just be posting one page per week, probably for three weeks. Sorry about that! There's not as many people reading in the summer anyway.

Anyway, we have illusions! As per Charlene's comments from chapter 4 (right?), a simple and ambiguous illusion is creepier than one that's too real looking. An illusion that just sits there and stares at you is pretty unnerving, even if you're not sure if it's real. I was going to have a whole dialog sequence with the visiting werewolves, but I decided I wanted to keep them ambiguous a little longer. We'll cover their decision to retreat in a bit.
