Vote over at TWC and you can see a panel of Charlene being not okay with whatever the thing from tomorrow is!
Charlene wasn't originally supposed to be part of this section of the story, but she's given me a lot of fun elements to work with that I wouldn't have had if Malaya had been wandering in the woods alone lol. I also have some plans for her at the end of this chapter that I'm looking forward to, so that'll be fun for me.
I posted on Patreon a few weeks ago about how to write by the seat of your pants, and I thought it was funny how many people compared my approach to playing a roleplaying game like DnD. That's still storytelling! It's collaborative storytelling, but it's still storytelling! The only difference is that I have to throw my own mix of problems and conflicts into the mix, and also no one in this story has a sword. (Someone might, but they don't know how to use it. Elias probably has a decorative sword on his childhood bedroom wall :p)
I learned from this page that I really enjoy drawing turtles. Why turtles? Don't worry about it, Charlene addresses that tomorrow. I have so much more work to do on tomorrow's pages, so I'm off to knock those out, as well as a webpage for my local chapter of League of Women Voters and improving the website for my local Democrats. I think today is my day off, but I can't tell :|
