Vote over at TWC and you can see a cute/depressing panel from tomorrow of baby Aubrey, who I enjoy drawing immensely.
Oh man, let's fill in some exposition, I guess! Some pages just require a lot of dialog, but I try to avoid having to do pages with a lot of words on a regular basis. I told you guys that I'd fill in some of the details, and this page starts the second half of our flashback! The half that's mostly narrated by Charlene, and thus doesn't require me to draw pages and pages of Connie dying in the woods and having feelings, so that's pretty cool. There are still going to be a few questions up in the air after this chapter, especially regarding how Connie is just sucking all these werewolves dry when that's not really a thing anyone else can figure out how to do. I've been trying to emphasize throughout this story that magic works in this very Pagan-y, give-and-take, symbiosis-with-nature kind of way, so Connie using werewolves as batteries isn't a normal set up. (Otherwise, witches and werewolves would probably be out to destroy each other on a regular basis.)
I will be at C2E2 in Chicago from April 6-8th! I'm very prepared! I'll be selling prints (mostly from HTBAW), these neat holographic stickers, and the first two issues of this series (Chapters 1-3). I'll be there with my friend Neil, who will be acting as my emotional support peacock to keep my anxiety at being around that many people from shaking my bones to pieces.
