I fought with this page for a very long time (while watching the rest of Sense8 and plowing through most of the new season of Orange is the New Black), and in the end, I'm not sure I won. I think it's a tie. Either way, I'm moving on. Good bye, page 39. Enjoy the real world.
So I fully acknowledge that there's no way to do werewolves that's not totally derivative in one way, shape, or form, but one thing I really wanted to get away from is the whole Alpha/Beta/Omega aspect of a lot of werewolf stories. More modern research has pretty much concluded that real wolf packs don't resemble that structure at all, and I don't want all the drama of this story to revolve around who's better than who, because I don't think that's a particularly strong conflict.
Also, I'm totally running out of useful shot variations in terms of how much you can do with two people sitting down and not moving around much, but I'm trying to make the most of it :P.
