Vote over at TWC and you can see Malaya realizing there's a horse behind her.
There might come a day when I manage to write a whole scene that doesn't end in a goofy joke, buuuut probably not. I hadn't originally planned for Charlene to be in this chapter so much, and that Malaya would have delivered the food on her own, but I'm so so glad I thought early on "hey, what's Charlene going to be doing for the next few chapters? Maybe I could give her a bigger role?" And bam! Now she's on a horse. (She's riding without a saddle because I didn't feel like drawing one, so she's obviously quite talented.)
Every chapter, I worry that I won't have enough to flesh out my basic outline, and somewhere by the end, I end up frantically trying to make sure I don't end up with a chapter that lasts 100 pages. I aim for about 85 pages, which is still unreasonably long, but it's fine. I gave up trying to break things up into shorter parts. Once you walk the dog enough and spend enough time taking baths while staring at the ceiling contemplating where you're story will go, there's a lot more to add than you originally anticipate, I guess. I freely admit that I only plan a handful of whatever happens in each chapter, and the rest flows based on what seems interesting and whatever characters naturally want to do. Like fight a dude in a tree, why not.
As per usual, if you'd like some How to be a Werewolf merch, please check out my store at the Hivemill and let me know if there's any cool stuff you'd like to see and I'll try to add more stuff to buy soon. I can add mugs, tshirts, tote bags and prints, but other items I can have made and distributed through Hiveworks in the future. So we'll see! I'm not good at buying things, so if you like buying things, you're input is welcome!
