Somehow, I'm still plugging along, even though my brain is completely fried lately. This week's pages were like a vacation. No shading! One color for everything (except for Marisa who is blue). Just lots of line work, which is my wheelhouse anyway. 

This whole sequence inside magic wasn't originally in my plans, but I couldn't think of how else to visualize what I was thinking of for this section. I wanted her to communicate with the trees and the magic force in some way that was really intense for her, but this idea popped in my head when I was planning these pages last week. I like it! I think it more or less conveys what I wanted it to, and makes this whole witch camping vacation make a lot more sense. Why is everyone so hyped to be here? Oh, it's because we've created this ritual where we all talk to trees and it's really great. It helped me solidify what the witches' motivation was overall and that pleases me.

In unrelated but related news, this week's pages were also great for me because I sprained my left wrist on Saturday while roller skating outside on the local tennis courts lol. It's much better today! Stiff, but it doesn't really hurt, and I can play violin again. (It'll be easier once it loosens up more and I can hit the high notes like I need to, but that requires a lot of contorting around my violin that my wrist isn't quite up to yet.) Luckily I could still draw with my right hand, but it was nice that I didn't have as much intense computer time this week because the pages are just pink :D

I haven't forgotten about my idea for a contest yet! It got a bit waylaid because my life is chaos and I'm trying to get a million things done this month it seems, but we'll come back to it one day! In the meantime, there's new merch up at the Hivemill store. I added some new prints and tshirts finally, so if you like my comic and would like to support me, please go see if there's something you like! I made a TikTok? I haven't been using it really, but China already knows my whole life at this point anyway.

HTBAW Fandom Wiki is up and running! Thanks to Myk Streja for tons of help with moderation efforts and everyone else who's done a ton of work on adding information and filling out the Wiki. I know nothing about how this stuff works and I'm too old to learn :D.
