I'm glad this scene is short, because I'm not a huge fan of how Charlene's hairstyle turned out with my light lines on black hair thing. It makes her look old, but the photo I referenced it from looked very cute. I'll have to find a good hairstyle for her for camping. She goes back and forth between protective braids and twists to having her hair loose, so we'll see. I spend so much time drawing hair ;_;. And Marin's in this chapter a lot and her hair is also a pain. 

The lettering on the second panel is a mess, because they're all positioned in ways that make it impossible to lay out word bubbles in a sane way, but it's fine. I'm allowed one panel per page that's a bit of a disaster. You can't knock them all out of the park or else you'll be putzing along trying to make every page perfect and never accomplish anything.

I'm off to trim back everything in my yard and mow the lawn and then buy some more plants. An exciting Wednesday for sure! Thanks to everyone who's bought merch so far! I'm plugging along on book things, so hopefully we'll see even more merch before too long :). Which in book land means...next year probably!

I haven't forgotten about my idea for a contest yet! It got a bit waylaid because my life is chaos and I'm trying to get a million things done this month it seems, but we'll come back to it one day! In the meantime, there's new merch up at the Hivemill store. I added some new prints and tshirts finally, so if you like my comic and would like to support me, please go see if there's something you like! HTBAW Fandom Wiki is up and running! Thanks to Myk Streja for tons of help with moderation efforts and everyone else who's done a ton of work on adding information and filling out the Wiki. I know nothing about how this stuff works and I'm too old to learn :D.
