One character trait I've tried to build into Elias is that he's a rules guy. He kind of knows the rules and he's weird about breaking them too flippantly. It's why he struggled with rushing in to help Vincent in chapter 6 without consulting his mom first. He likes to make sure he's right with whoever he views as an authority (in this case, Malaya) and while he's annoyed about the rigidity of the council, he ultimately believes it's better that it exists. (I'm going to have to actually SHOW the whole damn council at some point, rather than have them be an anxiety-inducing Zoom meeting, which like...fuck me, I don't wanna draw all that!) Elias is a guy who's concerned about boundaries and weird about crossing them, and while he'll rush into a situation a little too readily sometimes, he probably needs to loosen up a bit. (In contrast, Mal is a little less concerned with the rules but will work within them if she has to, and Tom does not give a fuck at all about anyone's rules kthx.)
I have to work the election in May, so on the 2nd and the 9th, there will only be one page for each of those weeks, posted on Wednesday. I'll be at the Hinsdale Library in Hinsdale, IL for their first ever library comic convention on May 13th! If you live in the area, come see me! I have a handful of copies (literally just 5) of the first volume of HTBAW and a buuuunch of floppy issues of the first three chapters.

Tote bags, hoodies, tshirts, prints and mugs are all available in the Hivemill store! The hoodies are unisex sizing, but the tshirts run rather fitted, so I recommend sizing up!
HTBAW Fandom Wiki is up and running! Thanks to Myk Streja and ShitaraRen for tons of help with moderation efforts and everyone else who's done a ton of work on adding information and filling out the Wiki. Thank you everyone for contributing and it's an amazing and super detailed resource!
Feel free to check out my goofy Amazon store if you're so inclined (this is an ad, as I get a tiny commission if you do buy something), or I have some merch up on Society6 if you're looking for my old store link! Thanks to everyone who's come out to support me through Ko-fi and Patreon!
