I think werewolves are more interesting when being a werewolf intersects with being a human, rather than as two separate concepts. I get the appeal of a lot of modern werewolf fiction, with the alphas and betas and mating for life or whatever is in at the moment, but I find there's a lot more depth in situations like this. Abigail loves Julian, Julian is staying for Tom, but Tom isn't a safe guy. So how much is Abigail going to willfully ignore even if she knows something is off? Casey's only allegiance is to Abigail, so she's less interested in putting up with bullshit, and she's also not as tolerant of living in tents. Hm...
