Vote at TWC for some thumbnails! Very exciting!
I figured out how to draw these guys! I feel quite proud of myself about that, since we haven't seen them since the end of chapter 9 except Lucas and Ella. I also haven't figured out a good time to introduce everyone's name in the dialog, so I decided to just label everyone and be done with it. Now they all have names!
This is the only page this week, so we'll be back to normal next week. Thanks for your patience everyone! I realized how much I needed a break. And by break, I mean I got a bunch of random stuff done around the house instead of actually relaxing, but relaxing and I have never really gotten along. I get my dopamine from nonstop productivity, but like...a variety of productivity. Knowing how many projects I kept having to let fall by the wayside was driving me nuts and I feel much better about things now!
One of the issues I'm having with this chapter that I needed some time away from is how I want to wrap it up. If I do what I want to do, it'll make sense, but it'll be fairly long. This is page 68 of Chapter 11, and I usually do about 85 pages. This chapter could easily run to 100 pages by the time I'm done, but it'll end on some action. I feel like I haven't quite built up as much momentum for big action as I have in past chapters (this is more like chapter 7, which was more of a side adventure that ended with just a little bit of action), but I also want to go into chapter 12 with some higher stakes that need to be resolved that aren't just endless werewolf paperwork. Hm. So if we wind up in action territory and you're like "Wow, this seems like a big shift in tone!" then just roll with it and know it's on purpose lol.
Alternatively, I'm pleased with how this chapter has wound up making a case for the werewolf council that I've been trying to get to for awhile now. Hopefully Tom's approach here makes it clear why embroiling werewolves in a giant bureaucratic nightmare so they can't just do whatever they want is probably a good thing for werewolf society to have imposed on each other.
I got my HTBAW hoodie in the mail, so after I wash it to make it smell like it didn't just come from a factory, I'll try to show everyone on Twitter. I also got a tote bag! Note, the hoodies are by the brand Next Level, and they probably run a hair small. The small is big on me, but not as big as I expected, and I'm an XS/S in women's clothing. If you like a baggy fit, size up maybe?

May merch drop! New tote bags and hoodies are being added to the Hivemill store! (I may be the webcomic on Hiveworks who utilizes the merchandise the most, from what I've seen...hm.) The hoodies are unisex sizing, but the tshirts run rather fitted, so I recommend sizing up! (Two of the moons are flipped on the product images, but the files the shirts are printed from are corrected, so you should have moons in the correct order. My bad!)
HTBAW Fandom Wiki is up and running! Thanks to Myk Streja for tons of help with moderation efforts and everyone else who's done a ton of work on adding information and filling out the Wiki. Thank you everyone for contributing and it's an amazing and super detailed resource!
Feel free to check out my goofy Amazon store if you're so inclined (this is an ad, as I get a tiny commission if you do buy something), or I have some merch up on Society6 if you're looking for my old store link! Thanks to everyone who's come out to support me through Ko-fi and Patreon!
