Yes, the tree that landed in front of them is too big to be the tree that Tom just punched. Yes, it'll be clarified in the next panel that he's just throwing around the original tree again. Don't worry about it! Trees are done, they're not a story concern after this lol. They're just an easy way to show that Tom is very strong and very nuts right now.
I like drawing action scenes a LOT, but they're exhausting! I've definitely found myself in a formula where we end up with big action at the end of every chapter. That wasn't really my original plan, but it helps give enough downtime to story elements at the beginning of a chapter when stuff can be resolved or the plot can be pushed forward, while the end of the chapter is when things come to a head so the next chapter can happen. Kind of like how in crime dramas, you have to have your big break through in the case by the end of the 2nd act so you can catch the bad guy in the last 15 minutes of the show and then it's neat and satisfying lol. We have so many things to still wrap up in this chapter somehow! I'm ignoring the page count at this point. I still have to get Vincent and Elias back to resolving some of their baseball practice tension lol
